Community Guidelines

At Trellis, we’re committed to building a supportive, inclusive, and respectful professional space for women. These Community Guidelines outline what’s expected of users when engaging with others via posts, comments, messages, and interactions within the app.

By using Trellis, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may lead to content removal, suspension, or account termination.


🚫 Prohibited Content

You may not post, share, or engage in any of the following:


1. Harassment or Bullying

  • Insulting, threatening, or intimidating any individual or group.
  • Targeted attacks based on profession, appearance, lifestyle, or choices.

2. Hate Speech or Discrimination

  • Attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.

3. Sexually Explicit or Inappropriate Content

  • Sexually suggestive language, media, or innuendo.
  • Non-consensual discussion of sexual experiences or adult content.

4. Violence or Threats

  • Encouragement or glorification of self-harm, suicide, or violence.
  • Threats of harm to individuals, groups, or yourself.

5. Spam, Scams, and Misleading Information

  • Unsolicited promotions, repetitive self-promotion, or irrelevant content.
  • Fraudulent or deceptive claims, false job/funding offers, or phishing attempts.
  • Misinformation, especially relating to health, employment, or legal advice.

6. Illegal Activity

  • Posts encouraging unlawful conduct or sharing illegal content.
  • Impersonation of others or use of stolen identity.


💬 Messaging Etiquette

Private messages are meant to foster constructive, respectful connections. The following is not allowed:

  • Unsolicited or romantic advances.
  • Repeated messages after being ignored.
  • Aggressive, pushy, or manipulative language.
  • Sharing private information of others without consent.

Users may block or report others if they feel unsafe or harassed.


🛡️ Reporting & Enforcement

Safety is a shared responsibility.

  • You can report users, posts, or messages directly from the app
  • Our moderation team reviews reports within 24–48 hours
  • Actions we may take include:
    • Content removal
    • Account warnings
    • Temporary suspension
    • Permanent bans for repeated or severe violations

Note: Submitting false reports to target or silence others may result in disciplinary action.

Trellis is built to support women’s professional growth, well-being, and collaboration. To uphold our values:

  • Be respectful of others’ lived experiences.
  • Offer help when possible; listen with empathy.
  • Focus on constructive, solution-oriented discussion.
  • Use your real identity when participating. Misuse of identity will not be tolerated.


🧒 Age Restrictions

Trellis is for users 18 years and older. Content targeting or engaging minors is strictly prohibited.


🔐 Privacy and Safety

  • Do not share private information (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, sensitive images) — yours or others’.
  • Keep confidential or personal discussions within appropriate boundaries.
  • Avoid posting screenshots of private conversations without consent.

We reserve the right to moderate, restrict, or remove any content or user that undermines the safety or mission of Trellis, even if not explicitly listed here.
